BPP 201 – Points of Departure

Points of DepartureWhat an aptly named episode for both Babylon 5 and for our podcast.  On Babylon 5, Commander Sinclair has been conveniently recalled to Earth after the death or the President.  The considerably more “military” Captain Sheridan is taking over the station, much to the chagrin of the Minbari.  Garibaldi and Delenn are still out of action, G’Kar ran off somewhere and the “still functional” are a bit stressed.

For the podcast, we have updated the show numbering to something that makes a bit more sense.  More important we now have some desperately needed help in the form of a show editor – Troy Rutter.  Troy knows Babylon 5.  And he knows how Jim and I work.  I can’t say enough of how pleased Jim and I both are to have his assistance.  For those who don’t know, it takes a lot of work beyond simply recording to put out a quality podcast and finding a style fit isn’t always easy.  Troy is a home run.  Yes, this is the same Troy Rutter that Jim interviewed earlier.  He’s also an experience podcaster and voiceover artist.  You can find out more about Troy at his website: TroyRutter.com.

While we’re plugging our technical team, I’ll also toss in a shout out to Anthea Ybarra, the silver tongue lass that is the voice of the show.  If you ever need a lady’s voice for your project, feel free to give her a call, as well.  She’s at SilverTongueLass.com.

Enjoy the kickoff to season 2!

Just remember… No boom today.  Boom tomorrow.  There’s always a boom tomorrow!

Breaking News…

Bab 5 station (300x210)Hey fans! I have fantastic news. One of the bottlenecks for releasing shows has been in the post production editing.
Well, we have an editor! And not just any editor, but a fantastic editor who has a long history with Babylon 5 and the fandom.
Jim and I offer our welcome and gratitude to Troy Rutter!
Troy is a podcaster and editor par excellence. He’s “old school,” so you can be assured that the quality will be superb and most probably better than what we’ve had in the past. We are very lucky to have his help.
The plan is to get a few episodes in the can and then get the releases out back on the every other week schedule.
Please send Troy a “thank you,” and spread the word.
This is definitely a BOOM today. And tomorrow. And hopefully on through the rest of the series!
